A Visitor and Tourist Guide for Frisco, CO

Frisco, Colorado

A Mountain Fun Destination

Encircled by the Arapahoe National Forest, and located along the shores of beautiful Lake Dillon, Frisco is literally at the crossroads of Summit County, Colorado's premier mountain community. Lake Dillon is the largest lake in the area that spans 3,300 acres with 26 miles of shore lines and offers magnificent mountain vistas.

Frisco, Colorado is just off Interstate 70 between Vail and Denver. There are over 2,600 full-time residents and 4,200 second home owners who enjoy a superb quality of life. The town expands considerably with the fun loving visitors arriving in the area.

There are Seven major ski areas just minutes away. The ski industry attracts some 3 million people a year to the area with its 141 inches of snow annually and 296 sunny days per year!

Frisco is the geographic heart of Summit County. Its central location and designated hub of the free Summit Stage transit service makes Frisco the natural choice for year-round vacation lodging, dining, and shopping.

Frisco's mild humidity-free summers offer relaxing reprieve from the big city rat race, unique special events and a dose of the great outdoors. There are miles of biking trails for your pleasure.

Enjoy world class sailing at Lake Dillon. Regattas are held regularly. Motorboats and sailboats are available from the local marina for exploring the lake, fishing or basking in the summer sun.

For airplane connections, Frisco is only 80 minutes from Denver International Airport and 30 minutes from Vail Airport.
